How to Check the Status of an AdSense Application

1. Log on to the Internet and check your email account for any email from 'Google' or 'Google AdSense' specifically. Also check your email's spam folder for any possible missed emails from Google that will give you an update on the status of your Google AdSense application. The email from Google Adsense will contain either a letter of acceptance as well as login instructions or a letter of denial along with the reason why.
2. Log in to Google AdSense (google.com/adsense) using the email address and password you used when you applied to see if you are registered within the system. If you cannot access your account, it does not mean you were automatically rejected --- it may take additional time to add your name into Google AdSense's system. If you can successfully access your account and land on the AdSense user dashboard, your account is active and ready for use.

3. Contact Google AdSense by accessing the official Google Adsense website (google.com/adsense) if you have waited longer than you were told when you initially applied. Although you may not receive a response immediately, Google may be able to direct you in a direction to find the status of your application individually.

How to Build an e

Become an Affiliate
1. Become an affiliate. Most websites now use Google's AdSense and Amazon to make money. Sign up with Amazon's affiliate program, as well as Google's AdSense.
2. Select the type of Amazon products that you wish to sell on your website. If you have a site specializing in selling books, then it is best to not use banner ads advertising DVDs---unless they are DVDs of a TV series or movie, which was originally famous as a book.

3. Add AdSense ads to your website. AdSense ads are a bit more difficult to control the content of than Amazon banner ads. You can, however, use the 'Competitive Ad Filter' to stop any company which is on a lot of your pages advertising irrelevant content. Google's 'AdSense Preview Tool' will also let you see what ads are coming up on a particular page, even if they are not showing when you view that page. You can then, using this tool, copy the url of a company you don't want advertising on your website, and paste it into the 'Competitive Ad Filter' box and remove their ads that way.
Sell Your Own Items
4. Use the numerous free e-commerce programs to create a store selling your own products. Also use PayPal buttons on your site. You can really just have a store made up of PayPal buttons, but you should test them all to see if they are working properly.
5. Test out just a few of your items to begin with, and see what proves to be popular. If you spend too much time putting items up on your store, then you may lose valuable marketing time, which is very important in the early stages of your venture. You may also end up disillusioned pretty quickly if you don't get very good results after a lot of hard work. Take things slowly, and tweak things wherever necessary.
6. Advertise your products and website on social networking sites for free. Advertising can be very expensive for a small business, so social networking sites are a great, and free, alternative to traditional advertising.

How to Add PPC Ads to a Website

How to Add PPC Ads to Your Website
1. First you need to locate a company that provides this service. Google is the biggest and probably the best, but there may be others that suit your needs just as readily. To sign up for Google's PPC service (called Adsense) simply browse to the
Google homepage
and click the 'Advertising Programs' link under the search bar on the main page. (NOTE: This ink appears after you click 'More' in the top navigation bar when you are using a Mozilla browser. You can sign up for any PPC service you want. Yahoo, MSN and a host of other, smaller companies offer them, too.
2. Sign up for the PPC add program. You will be asked to provide your name, address, payment information and website URL. Each service is different, and they feature differing ways to sign up for the PPC ad programs.

3. Each PPC company has a different platform and program. With Google, you simply cut and paste a piece of code into the HTML of your website page, and the ads appear on your site. This code is very simple: It pulls the ads from Google's servers and displays them on your site.
4. Paste the code into every page on which you want these ads to appear. You will need to understand a bit of HTML, so you can paste the code for the PPC ads in the right spot. Many people paste the code for the ads right into the middle of the page, so that they appear where visitors can easily see them and click on them.
5. Keep track of your PPC ad hits. Each time someone clicks on a PPC ad, you will be paid a price that is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for that click. This is like an auction, so certain keywords will work better. That is why it helps to have some understanding of SEO.

How to Find a High

1. **Understand How to Monetize With Online Ads**If you have a website or blog, you can earn money from your site with online ads ('Monetize it', as the web gurus put it. It's an ugly word, but I've grudgingly come to accept it.), You place advertisements on your web or blog pages, and get paid every time someone clicks on an ad (some ads also payout according to the number of views, but pay-per-click ads are much more common). Some ads are text, others are static images, and some are annoying little dancing people that move and have sound. You can see ads almost anywhere you look on the internet, including right here at eHow. The most well-known provider of ads is the Google Adsense program. But there are other providers as well.
2.

**Check Out Adbrite**Adbrite is one of the better known alternatives to Adsense, and is considered to be a high-paying option, offering as much as 75% of the ad revenue generated (in other words, you keep 75% of the ad income, Adbrite gets the other 25%). They offer a wide variety of formats in both text and image ads.Adbrite also offers what are known as 'inline' ads, an option not available through Adsense. These are the double-underline words in your page text. Mousing over the words causes a related ad to open up.

3.

**Look Into Bidvertiser**Bidvertiser is another option for placing ads on your website or blog. They have a reputation for unusually versatile tools to help users design the best format ads for their sites, and to incorporate ads in a way to maximize advertising earnings. I haven't used the Bidvertiser tools myself, but I hear they're pretty nifty.
4.

**Explore Clicksor**I hear lots of good reports from more and more of my colleagues regarding Clicksor. Apparently, the bidding is high (that is, the ads have a large payout), Clicksor pays a generous percentage to publishers (that would be you!), and there is a lot of versatility in how and where ads can be displayed. Clicksor also has a good reputation as far as doing an excellent job in placing context-relevant ads on your site.
