How to Block Google Analytics in Firefox





AdBlock Plus
1. Launch Firefox and navigate to the AdBlock Plus installation page (addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/).
2. Click 'Add to Firefox' and then 'Install.' Restart Firefox once installation is complete.

3. Navigate to the AdBlock Plus subscriptions repository (adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions).
4. Subscribe to 'Fanboy's Tracking/Stats Blocking' by clicking the link and then clicking 'Add Subscription.' This AdBlock subscription will block Google Analytics, among other tracking software.
NoScript
5. Launch Firefox and navigate to the NoScript installation page (addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/).
6. Click 'Add to Firefox' and then 'Install.' Restart Firefox once installation is complete.
7. Enable the display of scripts by clicking the NoScript button in your Firefox toolbar. By default, NoScript will block all JavaScript functions, including Google Analytics.
Ghostery
8. Launch Firefox and navigate to the Ghostery installation page (addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/).
9. Click 'Add to Firefox' and then 'Install.' Restart Firefox once installation is complete.
10. Press 'Ctrl' and '/' simulatenously to display the Firefox add-on bar.
11. Click the Ghostery icon and select 'Options.'
12. Click 'Enable web bug blocking' in the 'Blocking Options' section and then select 'Google Analytics' from the item list. You may also block other website trackers.
