1. Point your Web browser to 'sites.google.com.'
2. Sign in to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account or wish to use a separate account for your website, sign up for a new Google account. You already have a Google account if you have a Gmail account.
3. Click on 'Create site' to start creating your Google website.
4. Choose a website template, site name, URL and theme for your site. Google automatically generates a website URL based on the name of the site. You can change the last part of the URL to a shorter, easier-to-remember phrase. Click on the 'Create site' button at the bottom of the page when you are done specifying your website. Your new home page appears.
5. Add content to your website. Click links on your home page to switch to different pages in your website, just as you would when browsing a website. Click on the 'Edit page' button to change the content on the current page. Click on the 'Create page' button to add new pages to your website. Click on the 'More actions' button for additional website-management options.
