How to Make Money Online by Advertising

1. Google Adsense. This is just one example of the many ways you can advertise online. Google adsense allows you to put code in your website, blog, etc and start making money. The way google adsense works is whatever topic you are talking about, the ad that is placed on your website compliments it. For example, if you have a website that has lots of details about a fishing excursion you have recently went on, then the ads will probably be for boat websites, fishing gear, and things of that nature.
2. Also if you run a very established website, or even if you do not, some companies will pay you to place their link on your website. Many websites can make hundreds, or even thousands a month, just for having a link to another website on their webpage. So even if you have google adsense and no one is clicking, you are still guaranteed the money that the other websites are offering you. A good idea is to check with local businesses or there are many great places to find people wanting to rent space on your website online.

3. Even the emails you send out to your subscribers can make you money, and lots of it. This is another place to place ads and if you have a large amount of people on your mailing list, you can really receive a large amount a money for merely sending an email. That is why it is a good idea to start adding more and more people to your mailing list. The more you add people, the more amount of money you will make. By making money from ads online, one might not even have to have a job besides running their website.

How to Control My Own Ad Space on Blogspot

Manually
1. Determine how you want to sell your space. Going directly to advertisers gives you complete control over ad content, placement and duration. However, this involves setting your own prices and contacting potential advertisers directly. Third-party services that handle ad placement for you include Project Wonderful and adBrite. These services allow you to set up an publisher account that includes the kind of ad you have for sale; advertisers then bid on your ad space.
2. Set the size of your ad. If you're working directly with advertisers this is a much more flexible issue. If you're using an ad service check to see which ad sizes they support. Common Web banner sizes include the square (either 125 or 250 pixels square), the skyscraper (120x600 pixels) and the full banner (468x60 pixels).

3. Create your ad widget. Go to your Blogger dashboard and click the 'Design' link below your blog. Click the 'Add Gadget' link and select the 'HTML/Javascript' widget.
4. Enter a title if you want it above your ad space. You don't need one but having it there can allow you to indicate to visitors that this space is for an ad. In the content box add the HTML or Javascript for your ad. If you're selling ad space directly, this only really requires the ad provided to your by your advertiser and a link; an incredibly basic image ad with a link would look like this:

If you're using a service for your ad space the code for including your ad will be provided to you by said service; simply paste it in this content box. Click 'Save' when you're done.
5. Move the ad where you want it on your blog. By default Blogger adds the widget to the top of your sidebar but you can also place it after posts or drag it further down on the sidebar. Click the 'Save' button on the layout page to save the changes to your blog.
Using AdSense
6. Go to your Blogger dashboard and click the 'Monetize' link below your blog. On the monetize page click the 'Sign Up for AdSense' button.
7. Choose where you want ads to appear on your blog. Your options are to set them on both your sidebar and under your posts, just on your sidebar, just under your posts or none. Click 'Next.'
8. Sign up for AdSense with a new account if prompted; if you already have an account you will be asked if you want to use your existing account. Once set up, Blogger will give you the option to go your blog to view your ads or go to your layout page to change the placement of the ads.
9. Click the 'Monetize' tab to view your AdSense earnings or to set up AdSense within your feed.

How to Create an SEO Glossary

1. Draw up a list of SEO terms. Gather them by browsing SEO- and Web-marketing websites such as SEOBook, Virtual Grace and Kuno Creative, or online-marketing magazines such as 'Visibility' and noting distinctive terms and phrases such as 'click through' or 'broken link.'
2. Note familiar terms and phrases that have a completely different meaning in SEO marketing. 'Bad neighborhood,' for example, refers to a website that Google or another search engine has penalized for the tactics it uses to attract Web browsers. These terms confuse people who don't know the specialized SEO meaning, so it's worthwhile explaining them.

3. Write out the definitions of the phrases, using your own words rather than copying definitions from other sites. Limited amounts of borrowing don't violate copyright, but cutting and pasting on a large scale might.
4. Add some terms of your own if you think of any that are appropriate. The SEO-Theory website, for example, coins 'frogblog' for bloggers who manage several blogs and hop between them making lots of short posts.
5. Compile your definitions and words into a glossary and post it on your Website. If you define one term by referring to another, include a link in the definition that will take readers to the second term.
