How to Add a Scrollbar Section to My WordPress Blog

1. Log in to your WordPress administrator's control panel. From the large menu on the left side of the screen, click 'Appearance,' then click 'Editor.' This area allows you to view and edit the HTML files that make up your WordPress blog's theme.
2. Click the link for the Stylesheet. This is near the bottom of the list of files on the right, under the 'Stylesheets' heading. WordPress keeps the style of all your site's elements in this file. When you click the file, it will appear in the middle of the screen.

3. Start a new line in the file, then paste in the following code:#scrollbarsection {width: 400px;height: 400px;overflow:scroll;}This code tells WordPress that there is a new divider called 'scrollbarsection,' which has a height and width of 400 pixels. If any content inside the divider overflows from this 400 x 400 area, a scroll bar should be added to allow the visitor to access that content. Change the height and width to whatever size suits your needs.
4. Click 'Posts,' and either click the title of the post to add a scroll bar to it, or click 'Add New' to create a new post. Click the 'HTML' tab at the top of the editing area. This allows you to type code into the editor.
5. Place the cursor at the point in the post that you want the scroll bar to appear, then paste the following code:

6. Insert the content inside the two
tags. You can either type text as normal, or click the 'Add Media' button at the top of the editing pane to add images. When you have entered your content, click 'Publish' in the top-right of the screen.

How to Earn Money With Google Adsense

1. Apply for a Google Adsense account. Google will respond to you within a few business days to advise you if you are eligible for an account. Google looks for a well-organized site that's not a duplicate of other websites and may make a decision about the website based on the contents. Read Google's terms of service for Adsense accounts to determine whether or not your site may qualify.
2. Add Google Adsense to your website or blog. Many sites are Adsense-ready and are activated by inputting your publisher ID (a unique number Google will give you upon approval) and choosing the type of display you want for your targeted advertising. If you don't know how to add the code to your website or blog, you can often refer to help files with Google or your Web host, or you may need a technical expert to help. Relevant advertising will appear on your site, and if your visitors click on the advertisements, you will earn commission based on a Google formula that is not publicized. Many factors will impact the amount you earn, such as what happened after the visitor clicked on the ad, the amount the ad was worth (some advertisers pay higher ad fees, which results in a higher commission to the publisher) and other factors Google does not disclose.

3. Drive traffic to your website or blog so that more people have an opportunity to see the targeted advertisements. You earn money based on not only clicked ads but also the number of page views. The more traffic, the more likely you are to see revenue. Writing good content can bring targeted advertisements that can, on their own, entice a visitor to click.
4. Input your pin number when your account reaches $50. When Google sees that your account has reached the $50 earning mark, they will mail, via postal mail, a pin number to you that you must input into their system via directions included with the pin. This assures Google that you are the person you say you are via receiving a physical letter in the mail. This action activates your account to be ready for payment.
5. Receive payment when your account reaches $100 in Adsense earnings. Each time your account hits the $100 milestone, Google will initiate their payment cycle. Payments can be received via electronic funds transfer or via a check sent to you through the mail.

How to be a Blogger

1. Plan FirstYou will need to plan the basics of this blog. You can just start it with one post and build from there. However, going in with a plan can help. For instance, to prepare yourself for blogging on a consistent basis you can study other successful blogs. Then you need to start asking some questions. Can you make money blogging? Can you spend many hours every week writing, promoting, and publishing?
2. Pick Your TopicYou will need to make this blog interesting. But, in actuality, to be a blogger all you really need is the determination to write what you want. That is the beauty of the blogging world: Your opinion counts. Find some of the more popular blogs with themes you like and then consider if you can do similar things in your own way.

3. Choose a Blog Hosting ServiceThere many sites that will make it easy to create and maintain your blog. The best, in my experience, is Blogspot. This service is free, provides templates, and allows you the freedom to not only write but make money doing it. You can even easily add Google Adsense to a Blogspot blog.
4. Publishing FrequentlySome writers begin blogs and post on them once or twice a month. That’s fine; you can be a blogger this way. But if you want to be a serious blogger, and if you want to make money, you will need to post often.
5. Watch Your Readers Come InIn the end, you will be the reason the blog succeeds or fails. Sometimes a failed blog is just a learning experience. Yet you can succeed in the blogging world by defining success in your own way. Maybe you are just doing it to find some readers for the book you wrote, or maybe you just really care about the issue you blog about. You will publish— and you will be read by someone.

How to Make a Good Affiliate Webpage

1.

Create a blog or website to host your affiliate products.

Produce a website or create a blog. You can purchase a domain name at GoDaddy or Hostgator and use free site builders or blogs to make a professional, interesting site. Wordpress will not allow you to use affiliate marketing on the site, so you will need to have your own domain name if you choose that platform.
2.

Create a niche site, for example gardening, to gain more visitors.

Choose a specific niche or interest to base your website or blog around. Niche sites tend to provide a higher affiliate income than general sites. Try not to jump around with your choices, instead make it the most interesting and informative site around.

3.

Work on your website on a regular basis.

Work on your site on a consistent basis. Make sure you add new content, new and original articles, blog posts and new product listings on a regular basis. Customers and visitors to your site will get to know when new articles get listed or new products get promoted, so keep to a schedule.
4.

Choose a product to promote, such as books or shoes.

Pick what products you will promote. With the amount of products businesses offer, you have a range of choices. From books, ebooks, household products, jewelry and services, finding the right products for your niche website can be a challenge.
5.

Join the affiliate program that makes sense for your website.

Join an affiliate program. Choose a program that seems right to you, like Google Adsense, Commission Junction or Chitika. Some affiliate programs require an actual sale to come from referrals in order for you to get paid, while others only require a potential customer to click from your site to the company's.
6.

Visit marketing websites to network with other website owners.

Drive traffic to your site. In order to gain revenue from affiliate marketing, you need to have a lot of focused visitors to your site. Visit other blogs and websites within your niche and comment on articles or comments, but do not spam. Visiting affiliate marketing blogs will help you learn the ropes and network with other website owners.
7.

Write reviews and articles to promote affiliate products.

Write reviews and articles to promote your affiliate products. Use email marketing to website visitors and use article marketing at sites like ezinearticles to promote your website or blog.

How to Place Ad Codes on Your Site

1. Use your computer cursor to highlight the code the ad company provides. Right-click the highlighted code then click 'Copy.'
2. Access the HTML code for the web page where you want to place the code, in the file corresponding to the page's web address if you own a website or in the appropriate post if you own a blog. If you want to show the ad on all pages, open the template file in your website hosting account or the sidebar editing page on your blog dashboard.

3. Find the place in the code that corresponds to where you want to place the ad on the page. If you want to place it below a certain image, for example, look for '
' tags that correspond to the image. If you want to place the ad below certain words, look for those words. Make room for the ad by typing '' to insert a single line break or '' to skip a line.
4. Right-click after your line break and click 'Paste' to paste the ad code into the HTML code. Insert another line break to put space around the ad; otherwise, the design of your page may become distorted due to the addition of the ad.
5. Save the changes to the HTML code. Open the web page in your browser to view the ad.
