How to Make Your Own Gossip Web Pages

1. Focus your ideas. Decide what type of gossip you will be promoting and develop a title for your website. For example, if your website will focus on sports celebrity gossip, you can call it 'The Bull Pen' or 'Out of Bounds.' Try to be creative with your title. This will also help you later when choosing the design of your website and when marketing it to others.

3. Design the look of your website by choosing a template. Try to choose an eye-catching template, and follow the prompts to create as unique-looking of a website as possible. Both Blogger and Wordpress allow you to customize the look of your website by changing background colors, inserting graphic headers and stylizing text once your template has been chosen.
4. Post your gossip. Click 'New Post' and begin typing. Save and publish. Remember, the key to attracting visitors lies in not only the accuracy but the entertainment value of the news you are sharing. Flavor the tidbits with witty comments and a casual manner (such as 'Oh, say it ain't so! Rumor has it that...').
5. Purchase a domain name. You can keep the website URL address assigned to your website, but a shorter domain name will be easier to promote. Visit a domain purchasing website such as GoDaddy (see Resources). Search for existing domain names based on the title of your blog. Domain names can be purchased for as low as $1 a month.
6. Promote your website. Visit forums and message boards and comment, leaving the link to your website as a signature. The more you post and engage in conversation with other users, the more likely they will be to visit your link. Post the link to your website on social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. If you're inclined to spend money advertising your website, you can purchase advertising space on Google and Yahoo! so that web searchers will see your website in the top links returned after searching for specific keywords (see Resources).
7. Update your website often. The best gossip websites are updated daily, and sometimes multiple times a day. Visitors will keep coming back for more if they see that you post news often.
