How to Make Money With Provided Website Advertising

1. Determine whether you wish to use a third-party advertising service or sell the ad space on your own. Selling ads on your own is challenging since you have to take the steps to court companies that may be interested in advertising on your site. This strategy gives you the most control over the ads that appear on your site and also means that you do not have to share any revenue. Signing up with a third-party service is a much easier route, resulting in faster monetary gains, but with the potential to make less money in the long term. If you are new to the world of Web marketing, choosing a third-party service at first is probably a smarter choice.
2. Decide between banner ads and text ads. This choice is partly an aesthetic one, though it will affect your income as well. Typically, Internet users do not like to be bombarded with flashy ads when visiting a website. Text ads are unobtrusive and can be easily inserted into your web design in a way that does not compromise the overall look of your site. Banner ads are more eye-catching, resulting in more potential user visits, and will fetch a higher price than text ads.

3. Integrate ad space into your Web design. Although you may not want your site's visitors to see ads before they see your own content, you similarly do not want to stick ads out of sight at the bottom of the page. The better located the ad space, the more you can charge for it.
4. Set a payment system for your ads. Three main payment styles are used for online advertising. A cost per click model requires payment each time an ad gets clicked on. A cost per impression model takes in a standard rate for every 1,000 views a page receives. You can also charge a flat rate for ad space, similar to renting a billboard.
