How to Find Valuable Domains

1. Research new companies who may be willing to pay for a personalized domain name. Check the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times for new startups that have good financial backing. These companies are the ones that will want a domain name that links to the name of that company. TechCrunch is another great resource for new online startups.
2. Find who is running for presidential, senatorial and representative positions. Local and national newspapers are great for this. These people will want domain names that reflect their own names. Imagine if, for example, www.barackobama.com linked to a pornography site. These people are willing and able to pay to protect their image. Keeping an eye on up-and-coming delegates running in your area.

3. Buy up the domain names using a domain name hosting service. Include .co.uk, .org, .net and .edu names if possible. Use Google Adsense to provide a short-term revenue stream on your sites. Place content on your site that allows search engine crawlers to categorize your site. Include an e-mail address that people can contact you to buy the domain.
4. Contact delegates to let them know you own websites that are linked to their names. Set out your fees according to their reputation and status, but be prepared to negotiate. Alternatively, use a valuable domain name auction site.
