How Do I Sign Up to Post Google Links From Home?

1. Visit Google AdSense's website. This is the name for Google's affiliate program where links and ads are posted to your page. You will be asked a series of questions regarding your site. Ensure to answer honestly.
2. Create an account with your name, email and contact information. Google requires this information for payment processing and tax reporting. 4. Enable Google AdSense on your blog or Web page. While some website services offer the option to enable this in your settings, others do not. You will be provided a code to insert into your Web design page in this case. Location of code posting depends on the Web design program you are using.
5. Attach links to various keywords in the body of your articles or notes. In your Web page design template, click the link tab and select the word or words you wish to add the link to. Paste the link to the URL box and click save.

How to Make Money With Google Adsense On Blogger.com

1. Decide on a blog concept. Choose a topic you have knowledge about or interest in. To make money from a website, you must be able to generate traffic. Remember that authentic content brings in traffic, and good content is much easier to create if you are well acquainted with, or very interested in, the topic you are writing about. If you garden, for example, start a gardening blog. Consider three factors when making your final decision: 1) how many competitor blogs exist on the same topic, 2) how many Adsense ads are available for that topic, and 3) how likely are you to be able to create consistent, reader-worthy content for it.
2. Create branding. Choose a distinct name that is easy to remember. Check to see if the name you've chosen is available on Blogger.com, as well as on email and Twitter. If so, open accounts to secure the name before someone else does. Your Blogger.com URL will include the word 'blogspot,' but Blogger.com also offers the option of publishing to a domain instead of their free blogspot address. If the name you've chosen is available as a domain and you can afford the monthly web hosting cost, purchase your domain. Create an avatar or logo, and use the same one everywhere.

3. Build your blog. Spend some time researching and viewing successful blogs to study their layout. Blogger.com has user-friendly templates with gadgets that are easy to add. Insert features such as 'Followers,' which enables people to follow your blog and be notified when you post new content. For the protection of their advertisers, Adsense requires that your blog have legitimate content, so don't monetize your blog quite yet.
4. Create top-quality content that provides your readers with useful information. Write with proper grammar and spelling. Write short, concise, valuable posts that make readers want to bookmark your site and return. Use humor, but remain professional. Every published keystroke is potentially permanent, because your content can be copied and forwarded before you have a chance to edit or delete, so never say anything inflammatory or negative. Study search engine optimization, which is the art of designing and writing web content so that search engines can find it more easily, and infuse your writing with lots of searchable phrases that are relevant to your topic.
5. Enrich your site with imagery. Purchase stock photographs, or take photos yourself. Remember that when you 'right click, save-as' any photo from the web you are stealing, unless that photo is specifically marked free for use. Microstock agencies are more affordable than traditional stock photography or hiring a photographer, although for the reduced cost you lose image exclusivity and run the risk that images you purchase will be seen elsewhere. Browse 'free' sections of agencies to see if any of their featured images meet your requirements.
6. Monetize your blog. While logged in to your Dashboard, click on the 'Monetize' tab, and fill in the required information. Adsense will review your site for legitimacy and viable content. Once your blog has been approved, populate your site with ads.
7. Study Adsense rules very carefully, and follow them. Adsense disables accounts without notice for violation of their rules and policies. They have an appeal process, but there is no guarantee you will be reinstated; once you have lost your Adsense account, you cannot open another one.
8. Above-the-fold advertising is seen the most by newspaper readers, and the same applies to websites. Place at least one ad above the scroll line, so that your readers will see it without having to scroll down. Avoid inserting too many ads, as this will make your site appear spam-like.
9. Advertise your site. Network on line, via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Leave comments on other blogs, but only if you have something constructive and positive to say about their content---don't just comment asking them to visit your site. Add your website address to your email signature, and ask your friends to pass it along.
10. Work daily. Add quality content on a regular basis. Three high quality posts per week are better than three quick and careless posts per day. On the days that you are not posting, network instead, as well as research and learn.

How to Block Web Advertising

1. Block ads that are images by setting your browser not to show any images. You may not want to do this if you want to see images that are not ads. To do it, if you have Internet Explorer, go to the Advanced section under the Internet Options in the Tools menu. There is an option that says 'Show Pictures' in the Multimedia section. Click on the button next to it to make this option not selected, if it already is selected. There is a similar option in Firefox, and it is customizable. Open the Options section under the Tools menu, and select the Content tab. You can uncheck the 'Load images automatically' to see no images, or you can add specific websites where you don't want to see images. To do that, click on the 'Exceptions' button next to the 'Load images automatically' option.
2. Set your browser to block pop-up ads. Find this in Internet Explorer under the Tools menu, and in Firefox by selecting 'Tools,' then 'Options' and then looking for the option under the Content tab. Both browsers let you turn on a pop-up blocker and then specify websites that are exceptions where you will allow pop-ups.

3. Install Google Toolbar to block pop-up ads. Google Toolbar is an added set of buttons that can be installed in your browser. Download and install it, and select the option to turn on the pop-up blocker to give you added protection against pop-up ads. You may have to turn this option off occasionally when installing software.
4. Install the Adblock Plus add-on for Firefox. Download it from the add-ons section at the Firefox website. This will block most banner and pop-up ads.

How to Become a Map Maker

1. If you have even the slightest interested in becoming a mapmaker, you'll want to start with the basics: education. There are no specific entry requirements to become a mapmaker, although most employers prefer you to have a Bachelor of Science majoring in computing or geography.
2. Enroll in college. Obviously, you'll want to get your basic classes out of first, but as you start taking courses that have to do with mapping and cartographing, you'll immediately get the feel for this highly-specialized career.

3. You should already be studying maps as a hobby. Look at maps from different eras. Note how mapping has become more sophisticated over time.
4. Get familiar with some of the equipment that mapmakers use. Start investigating Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cartography and photogrammetry. Also, an understanding of 'remote sensing' (observing and measuring aspects of the Earth from a distance) is incredibly important.
5. Get a Bachelor of Science degree in cartography, geography, engineering, forestry or physical science.
6. Learn as much about computers as you can, as cartographers rely on computers for mapping more than ever. That said, some mapmakers have postgraduate qualifications in GIS as well.
7. During summers and before you go to college (or if you're ambitious, during school) get a job at a construction site, architectural or engineering firm or government agencies. Other areas of potential for mapmakers are in urban planning, emergency preparedness and natural resource exploration.
