How to Increase Website Advertising Revenue





1. Experiment with ad placement and size. Standard advice is to have a large ad placed 'above the fold' where users are likely to see it. This may not work in your situation. Try putting ads in the middle or at the end of your text, moving them from the left side of the page to the right or using different sizes of ads. A simple change could make a big difference.
2. Blend ads with your editorial content. Eyetrack, which studies the way that people view Web pages, found that readers were more likely to look at an ad that blends with the page, rather than one that stands out.

3. Match the offers with your readers. The ads on your site should be for things that would interest the people who come to your site -- toys and diapers for a parenting site, for example, or golf equipment for a golfing site. If you're using a service that chooses ads for you based on you page text, tightly focus the text around the types of ads that you want people to see.
4. Explore alternatives to AdSense. The ease of AdSense has captured the interest of many new Web masters -- you simply paste the code into you site and Google does the rest. This doesn't mean that it's the most profitable, however. You may find better luck using ads that pay you a portion of the sale that you make. Find these companies through sites like Commission Junction, LinkShare or Amazon, which has its own associate program.
5. Increase your website traffic. The more traffic you have, the more likely people are to see your ads and click on them. Higher traffic can also allow you to demand higher prices for direct advertisements. Increase traffic through blogging, social media, improved search engine optimization or advertising on other sites.
6. Track all of your testing results. As you make these changes to your site, it's important to pay attention to which changes are most beneficial. Keep the methods that work and ditch the ones that don't.

5. Choose a validation method. You can opt to have the Google staff call you at your business phone number, text your cell phone number or mail a postcard to your business address. With either method, you will receive a PIN number to enter into the website. Validation protects your business' entry from being edited by anyone not associated with your company.
6. Ask your customers to write positive reviews of your business on Google Maps. To write a review, they will need to select your business in Google Maps and choose the button that says 'Write a review.' In addition to writing a review, customers can also give your business a ranking of up to 5 stars.

How to Get Plugins to Work With Ardour





1. Close any audio-capable applications, including any media players and Web browsers with multimedia plugins. If following this step requires you to close the browser you're using to read this article, print it out and refer to the rest of the steps on paper.
2. Open the audio category of your Linux distribution's applications menu and click 'QJackCtl' to launch the graphical user interface for the JACK Audio Connection Kit. OS X users should click on the QJackCtl launcher icon. Click 'Start' to begin the JACK server. If you get an error message stating that 'the playback device hw:0 is already in use,' return to Step 1 and make sure you have closed all audio applications. If you can't pinpoint the application giving you trouble, restart your computer and launch QJackCtl in a new session.

3. Launch Ardour and name your session when prompted. After Ardour has loaded completely, select 'Show Editor Mixer' from the 'View' menu.
4. Right-click in the black space above the fader in the docked editor mixer to choose a plugin to load as a pre-fader insert. If you'd like to load a plugin as a post-fader insert, right-click in the black space below the fader instead.
5. Select 'New Plugin,' then 'Plugin Manager' from the context menu that appears to launch the Plugin Manager -- a complete list of all plugins installed on your system. In the standard version of Ardour for Linux, the Plugin Manger will list LADSPA and LV2 plugins, which use the Linux Audio Developer's Simple Plugin API. The Plugin Manager for the OS X version of Ardour will also list Audio Units, or AU, plugins. On the Vestige version of Ardour for Linux, the Plugin Manager will list plugins in the Virtual Studio Technology, or VST format as well.

1. Navigate in your Web browser to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool at adwords.google.com. Click the 'Traffic Estimator' menu selection on the left side of the page.
2. Click the 'Word or phrase' field and type all the keywords and keyword phrases that you are considering bidding on. Press 'Enter' to put each keyword phrase on a new line.

3. Select the 'Max CPC $' field, and type the maximum figure that you will bid on clicks for the entered keywords. For example, type '1' to enter a maximum bid of $1.

5. Click the field above the 'Estimate' button and type the letters displayed in the image above.
6. Select the 'Estimate' button. The area below the button displays each keyword phrase. Next to each keyword phrase, the tool shows the number of people who search for that phrase every month, the position your advertisement would be displayed in against your competitors at the current bid level, how many clicks the advertisement would be expected to receive and how much each click would cost. Use this information to determine which keywords you should bid on.

1. Sign up as a publisher for Google AdSense and ClickBank. Aspiring Google AdSense publishers may find it challenging to get into the program, especially if they are living in a non English-speaking country. It may take anywhere from days or months to be accepted to (or rejected from) the program. ClickBank's registration process contrasts heavily with AdSense's, because anyone can be accepted almost instantly into the affiliate program.

How to Use QuickInstall on CPanel





Install Fresh Program
1. Open your cPanel by typing a slash (/) and the word 'cpanel' after the domain suffix (such as .com) of the Web address of the site you have hosted with HostGator. Wait for the login box to appear.
2. Enter your user name and password in the login box, and click 'OK.'

3. Click on the QuickInstall icon on your cPanel home page. Wait for a list of programs to appear on the left side of the QuickInstall page.
4. Click the entry in the list for the program you want to install.
5. Click 'Continue' after the details for the program appear in the window to the right of the list of programs.
6. Fill out all necessary information, which always includes the name of the directory in which you want to install the program (or leave it blank for installation in the root directory) and usually includes your administrator name, administrator password and email.
7. Click 'Installation,' and follow any directions that may appear on-screen.
8. Wait until you see the confirmation message, and then check your email for details of your installation. Log out of your cPanel hosting control panel.
9. Log in to your new program with the administrator user name and password that you specified in Step 6.

How to Take off Google Ads From YouTube





Internet Explorer
1. Launch Internet Explorer on your computer. Go to the Simple Adblock website and click the 'Download' link on the front page. Download the file and save it to your computer.
2. Click the 'Run' button when Internet Explorer prompts you with the message 'Do you want to run or save the simpleadblock.msi?' message.

3. Wait for the 'Simple Adblock Setup' windows to appear on the screen and click 'Next.' Accept the End-User License Agreement then click 'Next.' Click the 'Install' button to install the IE plugin on your computer. Click the 'Finish' button when prompted.
4. Close Internet Explorer and restart it. Click the 'Enable' button when Internet Explorer asks you to confirm if you want to use the 'SimpleAdblock' add-on.
5. Visit the YouTube site and select a video. Once the video starts, you should no longer see YouTube ads.

6. Open Firefox on your computer. Click 'Tools' then 'Add-ons' on the menu bar. Once the 'Add-on Manager' tab appears in the browser, click the 'Get Add-ons' link on the left side of the page.
7. Click the 'Learn More' button. In the 'What are Add-ons?' box. Wait for Firefox to load the main Add-Ons page in the browser.
8. Type 'Adblock Plus' in the search box in the upper-right corner of the Add-ons page.
9. Click the green 'Add to Firefox' button next to the 'Adblock Plus' entry in the 'Search Results' area. It should be the first add-on in the list. The Adblock Plus is a featured Firefox add-on and recommended by Mozilla.
10. Wait while Firefox downloads the add-on and displays the 'Software Installation' window. Verify the add-on is from 'Wladimir Palant' then click the 'Install Now' button. Click the 'Restart Now' button when prompted. Firefox restarts and reloads all of your tabs from the previous session.
