How to Add a Google AdSense Code





1. Go to the Google AdSense website (see Resources) to sign up for an account. Enter your Web site URL and your site's language. Select whether you want a business or individual account. Enter your contact information, such as your address and phone number. Agree to the terms and conditions and click 'Submit'. Once you have submitted your application and verified your email address, it will usually take 2-3 days for Google to approve your application, but it can sometimes take as long as a week.
2. Login to Google AdSense after your application has been approved. Click 'Account Setup'. Select either the AdSense for Content product or the AdSense for Search product. AdSense for Content will place ads on your site. AdSense for Search will place a search box on your site.

3. Choose the format, color and font for the AdSense ad product. Click 'Continue'. Choose your search type, selected sites and optional keywords for the AdSense search product. Click 'Continue' and answer the questions until you get to the last page.
4. Click 'Submit and Get Code'. On the next page, the AdSense code will appear as a long block of HTML code. Copy it by holding down the mouse button and dragging the mouse over the code to highlight it. Right-click on 'Copy'.
5. Go to your Web site's template and paste the code between the body tags of the template's HTML.

5. Add your blog to Google. If you want to reach a wider audience, go to www.google.com and clicking on the link 'About Google,' then 'Submit your content to Google'; and finally, under 'Web,' click on 'Add Your URL.' Insert the URL (the web address) for your blog. Other search engines have similar processes. Maintaining a blog, especially one intended to provide extra income, requires quality writing and dedicated efforts to attract readers.

4. Upload the advertisement on your website. If using a third party resource, such as Yahoo! Publisher or Google AdSense, you will be provided with a short JavaScript or HTML code. Copy the code from your account page and paste it into your website where you want the ads to appear. The ad will automatically be served and displayed on your web page. If you are personally managing your advertisers, request that they send you a link as well as a banner image (or, if they wish to use text advertising, a short copy of their text ad) and upload to your web page.
5. Monitor the monetary success of your advertisements and tweak your web page to maximize your revenue. For example, if you are being paid for each click, you may wish to test ad locations to identify areas on your website that attract the most clicks. If you are being paid for each view, implement methods of gaining more traffic, such as search engine marketing or advertising your own website.

How to Open a Google Adsense Account





1. Navigate to the Google AdSense homepage. Make sure to select the correct country of residence in the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner.
2. Click on the blue 'Sign up now' button on the right-hand side of the web page. This will open the Google AdSense application.

3. Fill out the AdSense application, including contact information and the URL of the website where AdSense ads will be displayed. Make sure this information is accurate and detailed, or Google may not accept the application.
4. Click the 'Submit Information' button at the bottom of the application to send the application information to Google for review. If the page reloads, check to be sure the application is fully filled out.
5. Confirm receipt of the email address verification notice when the email account verification email arrives from Google. An active email address is required to use AdSense

How to Add My Own Template to Freewebs





1. Navigate to Webs.com and log in to your account using your username and password.
2. Click on the tab titled 'My Account' at the top of the Webs landing page.

3. Click on 'Advanced Settings' and choose 'Downgrade my Account to HTML only Mode.' This is necessary in order to make your template, which is coded in HTML, compatible with the site. You can upgrade your account to its previous settings at any time via the same route.
4. Click 'Save' on the 'Advanced Settings' page. Return to the Webs home page.
5. Click 'Pick a Free Template from Freewebs.' In the top, right-hand corner there is a search box with the words 'Search All Templates' embedded. Underneath the box, click on the button that says 'Click here if you want to upload or build your own.'
6. On the newly opened page, select 'Build and Edit' from the top left. A window titled 'Site Manager' will open. From here click on 'Upload Tools.'
7. Click 'Upload Website Template' and use the 'Browse' option to find the template on your computer. Click 'Upload' to add the template.
