How to Delete Targeted Advertising From Google

1. Access Google's 'Ads Preferences' page at www.google.com/ads/preferences.
2. Click the 'Opt out' button in the middle of the page to stop Google's advertising partners from assigning the 'DoubleClick' cookie that tracks your browsing.

3. Click the 'Download the advertising cookie opt-out plugin' button to download a plugin (Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox only) and follow the prompts to permanently opt out. Safari users can accomplish this task by making sure third-party cookies are blocked. Select 'Preferences' from the Safari menu, click the 'Security' tab and make sure the 'Accept cookies' section has the 'Only from sites I visit' radio button checked.
4. Repeat steps one to three for each web browser and computer that you use to surf the web.
