How to Create Adword Image Ads
Account Setup
1. Visit the Google AdWords homepage (see Resources) and log into your Google AdWords account. If you do not have an account, follow the on-screen prompts to create an account.
2. Click the tab labeled 'Campaigns' and follow the on-screen prompts to create a new campaign. Alternatively, click 'Campaigns' and then click the name of the campaign to which you would like to ad an image ad.
3. Click 'Settings' and then click 'Edit,' located beside 'Networks.'
4. Place a check-mark beside 'Display Network' or 'All Available Networks' to opt in to Display Network websites.
5. Click 'Save' to save your changes.
Create An Image Ad
6. Click the campaign to which you would like to add an image ad.
7. Click 'Ads.' and then click 'New Ad.' Select 'Image ad' from the New Ad menu.
8. Click 'Browse' and then navigate to the image that you would like to use in your ad. Select the image and click 'OK.'
9. Name the image in the provided text box. When naming the image, Google recommends including a description of the image, as well as the campaign or group name. The image name cannot exceed 50 characters (including spaces) and helps to simplify and organize your campaign.
10. Enter the display text in the box provided, and enter the URL that you would like the user to be directed to upon clicking the ad.
11. Click 'Save Ad' to save your ad and enter it into circulation.
