How to Get Approved for Google AdSense

1. Purchase a domain name, sign up for a web hosting subscription and set up a website. Or register an account with a free blogging or website platform where you have access to edit the HTML portion of your site, such as Blogger, Doodlekit or Weebly.
2. Think about and research topics for your website. Decide if you want to focus on a huge category (e.g., health and nutrition) or specialize in a smaller niche (e.g., the organic food niche within health and nutrition). Go online to tools that offer insight into Internet search trends, such as Google Trends, Pandia, Yahoo Buzz, Trendpedia and Microsoft adCenter Labs. Type in a topic or category to determine the topic's general popularity on the Internet.

3. Narrow down the topics for your website. Select a topic that is not prohibited by Google's AdSense program policies. Google won't approve your site for AdSense if it condones violence, gambling, drugs and alcohol, contains adult content, copyrighted material or hacking content, offers 'get paid to' program schemes or promotes other illegal activities.
4. Write articles and/or blog posts related to your topic. Place this content on your site, devoting each page to a single article or blog topic. This results in a targeted website, which helps Google's crawlers to determine what your page is about. Targeted pages also can increase your AdSense success since Google will target ads based on your site's content. Add videos and images to your website to attract readers and so that your site contains something else besides written content.
5. Go to the Google AdSense website (See Resources) and click the 'Sign up Now' button. Enter your website's primary URL (e.g., www.example.com) in the space provided. Type your full name -- the name in which you can accept checks from Google AdSense -- in the 'Payee' field. Enter a valid, complete mailing address and a valid email address at which you want to receive communication about your AdSense application and account. Hit the 'Submit Information' button and wait for Google to review your application.

How Can I Win at Keno?

1. Choose a set of numbers as your 'home set.' These can be birthdays, ages, house numbers, or just about anything else that's easily remembered. You will play with these numbers consistently in order to slightly improve your odds of matching the random draw.
2. Choose several other sets of random numbers to be played with your home set. Whereas your home set will remain a static set of numbers to increase the odds of matching the random number draw, playing with more cards of random numbers will help give your more coverage of the different numbers on the board, consequently increasing your odds of winning considerably as compared to playing with one card.

3. Establish your maximum keno budget. Divide your budget by the cost of playing each game to work out how many games you can play. The lower the cost per game, the better, even if prizes are comparatively lower. Lower priced games will mean you can afford to play more cards on more games, which will increase your chances of winning a prize.
4. Repeat the strategy of choosing your home numbers and several different sets of random numbers to see a consistent rise in your odds.

How to Find a Publisher on a Web Page

1. Look on the website for a name of an organization or company. This may be listed at the top or as part of a logo or trademark. Look for a 'contact us' link and determine the organization's official mailing or telephone number.
2. Examine the page URL. This is located in the address bar following the 'http://'. The type of domain may give you a clue to the publisher. Domains with .edu are from a college or university. Domains containing .gov are a federal or local government website. Other domains such as .com, .net or .org can be personal or corporate websites.

3. Look up the owner of the website using a 'whois' search. This is a tool that gives information about the person or organization that has registered the URL. Enter the URL into a website that provides whois information (see resources). Validate your request if prompted by typing a word or phrase into a box (this is to verify that you are a real person). Read the report and look for a parent organization or individual that registered the website.
4. Do further research on any parent organizations to determine what kind of information they provide. Many hate groups use another website appearing legitimate to promote their cause.

How to Set Up an Advertising Website

Preparing Your Website for Advertising
1. Design a visually appealing website that is easy to navigate. Place advertisements above the fold, meaning visitors shouldn't have to scroll down to view the ads. Remove any unattractive images or widgets to make room for the ads.
2. Analyze your traffic. Advertisers may not want to pay to be exposed to your traffic if it's too low, so give your website time to get regular visitors that will appeal to advertisers.

3. Target a specific audience. If you write a blog for moms, make sure all posts relate to topics moms are interested in. Don't deviate from your audience just to make a fast buck. Advertisers will appreciate your laser focus.
Set up Advertising
4. Choose an ad networks if you aren't very technical or if you have low traffic. With networks, someone else does all the hard work for you, and you simply paste the ad code into the code on your website. They will track visits and pay you based on clicks. The drawback is ad networks don't pay much.
5. Work directly with advertisers to secure advertising packages for several months or years at a time. This option can be lucrative if your website is popular. Decide how much you want to charge and what size ad your advertisers will receive for that amount.
6. Sign up to be an affiliate for sites like Amazon or other commerce sites related to your website content. If someone clicks your affiliate links and buys something from that site, you will receive a percent of the sale.
Show Your Worth
7. Post an Advertise with Us page on your site if you are working directly with advertisers. Write a few paragraphs about your demographic statistics. The more information you can provide, the better.
8. Create a media kit listing your ad options and rates. Many companies don't like to list their advertising rates directly on their website, as competitors can see them.
9. Add a contact form to the website and email the media kit to interested advertisers.

How to Stop Typo Squatters

1. Alert the users of your website to the typosquatting problem you are having. Display a message on your home page that tells your users about typosquatters. Encourage them to ensure they are typing the correct address in the address bar before they hit 'Enter.'
2. Purchase the domain names of variants of your web address before typo squatters do. Think of common misspellings of your web address. For example, if your web address has 'ie' in it, purchase a domain name that uses 'ei' as well.

3. Submit a formal complaint to Google (see Resources) if the typo squatter's website has Google Ads on it. Google will remove ads from typo squatters' sites.
4. Submit a complaint to an Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers approved dispute-resolution service provider (see Resources).
5. Hire a lawyer to help you sue the typo squatter(s) under the Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.

How to Make Money Online Writing Poetry

1. Populate your poetry blog or website with advertising. Services such as Google Adsense will provide you with ads and a portion of the revenue when each ad is clicked. Online retailers such as Amazon.com will pay you a portion of the revenue from goods sold to a user who has clicked an ad on your site. Drive traffic to your pages by maintaining an active online presence, adding new poetry to your blog or website on a regular basis and promoting your work on social networking sites.
2. Solicit website advertising from local businesses for a flat fee. Gain a local following by participating in spoken word events and poetry jams. Promote your site by gathering names for an email list, sending out regular newsletters and tracking the number of visits to your site. Once you can demonstrate your online poetry has an audience, approach local businesses such as small bookstores to pay a monthly fee to have an ad on your site.

3. Publish pieces of poetry on revenue-share websites. These sites include Hubpages and Squidoo, which pay writers a portion of the revenue earned from each post. Depending on which revenue-sharing site you choose, you may have to place your poetry within the context of an article or otherwise tailor your work to the demands of the platform.
4. Submit your poetry to online magazines, also called zines. If your work is accepted for publication you may receive payment depending on the editorial policy of each zine. Many zines also run poetry and fiction contests, which may require an entry fee but offer a sizable prize to the winning entry.
5. Submit your poetry electronically for publication in print magazines and journals. Your poetry may not end up online through this method, but if it ends up in print you'll have used your online savvy to reach the publishers willing to pay you for your product.
