How to Make Money Freelance Writing

1. Write for revenue sharing sites. Some websites offer freelance writers a platform to publish their work online in exchange for a share of the revenue their work generates. In the long run, revenue sharing sites are the most profitable because your work will continue to earn passive income for you forever and you get to retain the rights to your material. The only catch is that you have to be patient. It takes time for articles to get traffic and exposure, plus you'll need to build a rather large library of work before you earn any substantial income. So while revenue sharing is great for long-lasting passive income, it certainly won't get you rich quick. If you can stick with it though, many successful writers make thousands each month writing for revenue sharing sites. Some great websites to check out include eHow, HubPages, Suite 101 and Associated Content.
2. Sell your work up front. If you're looking for a faster way to make money with freelance writing, consider selling it to websites that will buy it out right. Depending on your level of writing experience and talent, how much you can make selling your work varies greatly. But even a newbie writer can sell their work online; there's a market for everything. Most websites pay between $10-50 for written material. Bear in mind however, that some places pay less than that while others pay substantially more. If you write well and work hard, you can easily make hundreds to thousands of dollars each month selling your writing. The only drawback is that you sell the rights to your material and can not use it anywhere else. If this sounds like your idea of the perfect freelance writing gig, consider checking out Demand Studios, Bright Hub and TextBroker. If you're new to writing and get turned down by Demand Studios, try TextBroker first. Pretty much anyone can get on with TextBroker. Then later, after you've improved your writing skills you can try a higher paying site.

3. Forge your own path. If writing for a website and sticking to certain rules and policies puts you off, you can always strike out on your own. It can be very difficult to break into freelance writing on your own, but for some talented and dedicated individuals it is an option. Start your own blog to post your work. Be sure to sign up with Google Adsense so that you can make money from your blog. You could also write and sell eBooks online to make money. Whatever path you decide to take, you'll have to work extra hard to advertise your work if you're not associated with a major website. You can't get readers and make money for your freelance writing if nobody even knows you exist.

How to Earn Extra Money with Pay Per Click Advertising

1. EDUCATE YOURSELF ON PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING.Before jumping into pay per click, it is important to get a basic understanding. If you do a search on pay per click, you will likely find many resources to help you get a basic understanding. In a nut shell, by placing banners or advertising on your website, merchants pay you a percentage for getting people to visit their website by clicking on an ad. Even if people do not purchase anything from that merchant, just getting them to the site will still make you money. Understand that these clicks pay only pennies, so it will take many clicks to make some substantial money.
2. ADD TO YOUR BLOG.The most popular pay per click is Google Adsense. It is pretty easy to ad Google Adsense to your blog. If you use Google's Blogspot, they make it very simple to add pay per clicks onto your blog. If you use other blogs besides blogspot, it is also a simple process on getting Google AdSense.

3. ADD TO YOUR BUSINESS'S WEBSITE.You must have a website to participate in pay per click advertising. If you do not have a blog, you can also put advertising banners on any other website you have. Just complete the online application at google.com/adsense.The application will ask you for your website's address, and other basic information such as account type, address, and payment option. There are multiple payment options including payment by check, electronic direct deposit, and more.
4. READ GOOGLE'S ADSENSE PROGRAM POLICIES.If you are going to use Google AdSense for pay per click ads, please review the program policy. The policy will outline all the guidelines and procedures on their program. It is important that you understand the rules and procedures before you start putting up ads on your site.
5. WRITE FOR SITES THAT UTILIZE PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING.If you do not have your own website, you do not want advertising banners on your website at all, or you are not interested in signing up with pay per click programs, you can choose to write for sites that utilize pay per click as your earnings source. Writers for eHow make earnings from pay per click ads placed on their article's page.A downside to this is you have less control on filters, ad placement, or other options as you would with your own AdSense account or other pay per click advertising companies.
6. GET TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE.As stated in the first step, it takes a lot of clicks to make any significant amount of money with pay per click advertising. So, it may seem obvious, but get traffic to your site! This is common sense knowledge, but actually getting traffic can be a challenge. Some suggestions of getting people to your website are: adding your website your e-mail signature, emailing friends/family a link to your website, promote on social bookmarking sites like Twitter, Digg, and Facebook. Another way is by commenting on other blogs related to your website and including your website address.

How to Make a Blog Visible on a Website

1. Set up your blog on a sub-domain of your already up and running site. First name your subdomain (e.g. if your website address is www.booger.com, set up your blog on the subdomain www.booger.com/blog). You will need to go through your host in order to set this up. In general, you will use the same procedure that you did when you originally set up your site for hosting. After you have your blog set up on a subdomain, link to it from the homepage of your original website by creating a back link. You could also place a direct link to your blog on your site's navigation bar.
2.

Submit your blog to the major search engines. No one will know that your blog even exists if you do not list it into search engines. Although each search engine is a little different, generally all you will have to do is submit the root URL of your blog. Search engines that you want to make sure you submit to are Google, Yahoo! and MSN Live Search. After you have submitted your blog, you may have to wait a little while in order for the engines to properly index the blog.

3.

Make use of search engine optimization (SEO). After you have been indexed, you are still going to have fairly poor visibility in the eyes of search engines. When people use search engines to find answers, they are given listings of hundreds of thousands of results. Your blog will not be ranked high enough in these listings to get any visitors from the search engines. Depending on the blogging platform that you have chosen, there are different ways to set up your blog to be search engine friendly: write completely original content, use clean code and have a unique theme.
4. Create backlinks and include keywords into your blog. A backlink is simply a link from another site to your blog. An important rule to follow when posting backlinks is that you should only post them on sites that are relevant to your theme and are also reputable. The more backlinks that you post, the better. Also include keywords in your blog to draw focus to a niche. This step is fairly self-explanatory, but do not overdo it and be consistent with keyword use.
5. Make use of add-ons. If, for instance, you use WordPress as your blogging platform, it has plug-ins to add features to your blog. Many plug-ins are specifically designed for search engine optimization. Utilizing add-ons can be of great benefit if you find the right ones. One recommendation as a plug-in would be the all-in-one SEO pack.

How to Make Money Creating Teaser Blogs

1. Find blogs that allow you to use previously posted items. There are some blog sites, such as Hub Pages that only allow original work. Blog sites that do not allow previously posted content can delete a specific entry or your entire blog, depending on their specific rules. Other blog sites, such as Wordpress and Blogspot, allow you to post content from your other sites.
2. Create a blog. Many blog sites have easy to use instructions on how to create your own blog. Following these instructions can be as easy as pointing and clicking your mouse. Choosing the specific lay-out for your blog is not always so easy. It is best to go with something simple. You will want your visitors reading your work, not getting caught up in the graphics and wild designs available.

3. Choose your best or most marketable work to post on your teaser sites. Consider this to be your online mini-portfolio. If you are a freelancer that specializes in a certain field or want to specialize in a certain field, pick your best work in that area. If you are a generalist, choose your work to let your readers know that you are an eclectic writer. Decide which snippets of your work to add to your new blog. Usually, this would be the first paragraph of a specific piece. Of course, it could be longer. Do not make it too long, though. You want to tease your reader into reading more.
4. Post snippets of your selected work on your newly designed blogs. Add 'To read more, please visit...' and then add the URL to money making site where your work is located. This way the reader simply has to click on the URL and the, presto, she is on your other site. You can do this all on one page or put them on separate pages. If you are an eclectic writer, you can give your work categories. Make a page for each of these categories. Be sure to use your name or business name often on your blog. This will help improve your chances of having you or your company picked up by search engines.
5. Know how you make money with each of your sites. If you participate in pay-per-click sites, you want the majority of your snippets to be from those places. If you are working with AdSense, add snippets that would take your readers to the site with the best or most interesting ads.
6. Keep adding snippets and links to the sites that make money. If necessary, add more pages. In fact, you can devote an entire page to those URLs which will make you money. You don't have to add snippets of your work there. Again, categorize these URLs so your visitors will know what they will be reading.

How to Get Review Products for Your Blog

1. If you want to obtain products to review, and if you have already crafted some superb content for your blog, the next thing you need to do is make sure people are reading it. Ping search engines, tweet out links to some of your best posts using relative hashtags, comment on other blogs, and promote the great blog you already have put together. Public Relations departments are more likely to respond to a blog with an established readership than to a new blog with an introductory post and a couple of AdSense modules.
2. The second thing you want to do to get products to review for your blog is to establish communication with the type of companies that manufacture products you would like to review. If you are an organic product lover, then find organic company fan pages on facebook and follow their twitter feeds. Casual communication is great for opening doors and for giving you the confidence to pursue step 3.

3. Step 3 is to cold call the companies who create products you would like to review on your blog. Look up their Public Relations contacts online and send an e-mail. If an e-mail address is not available, you can use a 'Contact Us' form to request contact information for a company's PR department specifically.Have a form review product request letter ready that includes the basics of your blog readership numbers, monthly clicks, and comment averages. Present this information along with a tailored pitch related to why you would like the opportunity to review their products. Let the company know the basic types of information you would include in a product review, and let them know the methods of communication you use to promote your blog content. If you are turned down by one company, don't take it too hard. Dust yourself off and contact the next person on your list.
